Introduction to understanding a basic sewing machine. We have both mechanical and computerized sewing machines to review. Perfect for beginners to be comfortable with sewing machines and their basic components and stitches. Up to 5 students per class.

Bring in your sewing machine or, use the one from our showroom, for one-on-one instruction and to answer your sewing machine questions. Learn about its basic components and functions. 

Bring in your sewing machine, serger, or embroidery machine (if not purchased from us) for one-on-one instruction and to answer your sewing machine questions. Learn about its basic components and functions. 

Learn the basics of measuring, cutting with a rotary cutter, and machine quilting a small quilt top. All levels of sewing experience welcome.

Learn how to sew your first project. Compare different types of fabric and how it relates to the machine, presser feet, thread and needles. Lay out fabric and work with a pattern and learn basic 
construction. We supply sewing machines and cutting tables. Students supply fabric, pattern, and basic sewing supplies. A list of supplies will be emailed upon registration. It is highly recommended students take Sewing Machine Basics before signing up for this class but is not a requirement.

Kids learn to use a basic sewing machine by threading it, using a bobbin, and changing stitch types. Practice sewing by cutting out and making a small bag. Call or email for next available Saturdays.

Classes for Scouts or any organization are available. We arrange classes for groups of four or more. Call for more information.
